1963 2 Door Sedan 100

  • The Chevy II sedans feature a post between the front and rear windows. Many drag racers prefer this setup because it makes the body more structurally sound.

1963 2 Door Sedan 300

1963 2 Door Hard-Top 400

  • All 1963 Hard-Tops featured either 400 or or optional SS trim.
  • This model has unique wide body side moldings that are in high demand.
  • 14″ 4 lug wheels were optional.
  • The diecast hood bar and trunk trim all unique.

1963 2 Door Hard-Top SS

Normal standard options include: bucket seats, console and floor shifter, 14″ 4 lug wheels, SS wheel covers, SS upper peak trim, wide body side moldings, dash trim, SS in dash gauge package. The SS package was also produced with a 3 speed manual transmission with shift on the column; deleting the floor console and shifter but, still retaining the bucket seats.

  • This model features 14″ wheels and SS style wheel covers.
  • SS Glove Box Emblem
  • SS Dash Trim was unique to the `63.
  • The `63 SS console is made of 2 pieces.
  • SS model featured metal emblems on the seat backs. (LINK) (63-4 SS only)

4-Door Models

4 Door Sedan 100

1963 4 Door Sedan 300

  • On the 300 the trim tapers from wide in the front to narrow in the rear.
  • Specific “300” emblem on the quarter panels.
  • Retains the drip rail moldings.
  • The interior door panels and seat covers are different for the 300.
  • Dash knobs are plastic.

1963 4 Door Sedan 400

  • Same as 400 HT
  • Bash knobs are upgraded with chrome.

Convertible Models

1963 Convertible 400

  • The 63 convertible did not include a fixed roof but a retractable vinyl top with optional power retractable top.
  • The convertibles also featured extra “clam shell” support in the floor which are placed just inside the structural rocker under the door. (Picture)
  • The convertible had unique moldings around the sides & top of windshield.
  • The convertible featured a unique rear seat that is hard to find.

Project 1963 Convertible

As it sat in storage, my late mother put her name on it and said: “that one is beautiful, and it is mine!” So from the point on it became known as “Granna’s ride!” This car is special for us here at GM Classics and reminds us of my mom. It also has the benefit of taking great photos with Santa in the snow.

1963 Convertible SS

Station Wagon 100, 300, 400

  • (Need to verify the trim levels)
  • Third seat option was available.
  • The wagons featured a unique rear door that will not interchange with a 4-door.
  • The taillight assembly on the wagons was unique.
  • Divided second seats were a unique option to the wagon (with only 142 built) and nearly impossible to find.
