Damaged Shipments Policy

We make every effort to ensure that your order was packed so it would arrive in perfect condition. In the event that damage did occur in transit, these are the proper steps that must be followed:

  1. Submit the form below upon receipt of the damaged package.
  2. Save all packaging materials and the box in which your shipment arrived. (The carrier may want to inspect these items.)
  3. Wait for us to contact you.
  4. We will provide you with a Return Authorization number and next steps.

Shortages / Incomplete Order Policy

If you’re missing a part, check on your invoice to see if the part is on back-order first. If it is not marked as a back-order, follow the process below. On rare occasions we make mistakes and simply forgot to include a product. We’re sorry about that.

  1. All orders much be checked for shortages and reported within 2 days of receipt.
  2. Submit the form below.
  3. Wait for us to contact you.
  4. We will provide you with a Return Authorization number and next steps.

Return Policy

  • All returns must be made within 30 days of invoice date.
  • No returns will be allowed on new parts that have been used, altered, painted, installed, or damaged by the customer.
  • GM Classics reserves the right to determine if a returned part was manufactured or distributed by us.
  • All parts must be returned unused in the original, undamaged packaging with label and part number clearly marked.
  • GM Classics reserves the right to charge a restocking fee on any returned parts.
    • Restocking fees do not apply to defective parts returned within 30 days of receipt.
  • No returns will be allowed on CD’s, books, literature, or electrical items.
  • A restocking fee of 30% will be charged for all special orders; some special order items cannot be returned.
  • If you have purchased a used part, please keep in mind that most of our used parts are 50 years old and may need to be cleaned and/or repainted.

Note: All parts returned to GM Classics are subject to approval by staff for refund or credit. Part(s) that are not approved will be discarded after 45 days, if not claimed by the customer. The part(s) is not the responsibility of GM Classics. Refund to credit card may take up to 14 days to show on your statement.

Return Checklist

Once you have received a return authorization number via phone or email support…

  1. Include copy of invoice inside of box.
  2. Address the package to:

  3. Insure the shipment through your carrier for at least the value of the invoice.
  4. Write the return authorization number on the outside of the box.
