I found this gem about 18 miles North of where I lived. The nova was gold in color and had been in front-end collision. The top was re-welded, but it wasn’t a very good welding job.
Even though I found it, it took me two years to finalize the purchase. I built the hood myself and used a carbon vinyl wrap on all the moldings. We painted it with PPG paint and 5 coats of clear coat.
We put in a LT1 EFI from a 1995 Impala 5.7L with 4l60e automatic. We originally got 26 mpg with the 3.08 gears, but when I switched to 3.73 I now get about 19 to 21 mpg. I lost some gas mileage, but it has so much more power now!
My son and I work on it about 3 years when he was home from college, and I still love driving it!
