This Nova was originally featured on our website and newsletter in April of 2014.

I am building this car with my father as a tribute to the car “Mighty Mouse II” my Father (Howard) and his brother (Charlie) ran from 1972-1975. This car started my desire to own and drive my own race car. The last car we campaigned was a RJ Cutlass in Top Sportsman that ran 7.19 @191. There were many cars in between but I felt it was time for us to go back to where it all started. Mighty Mouse II was run primarily at US30 drag strip in Indiana. Starting off as a mid 11 second car and ending in late 1975 when it ran a best et of 10.01. The Brown Brothers as they were known were sponsored by Performance Auto Parts in Chicago. Our goal is to take this car to the Nostalgia events and help the guys that are already out there show the fans what Drag Racing looked like in the early 70’s. The pictures of the 1972 Nova are of the car they ran in Pro Stock from 75 to 78. We have tried to locate that car and have had no luck.

GM Classics & Chevy 2 Only has been a great resource for us from the NOS fenders, trim parts, and all the rest to Junior’s knowledge of these cars. You will be hard pressed to find someone that knows more about Nova’s and what is available for them than GM Classics & Chevy 2 Only. – Rick Brown
