I bought this car 20 years ago.

All of the work was done in my garage except for the bodywork, which was done in a friend’s garage. He rented a paint booth for the final paint, which came out straight and perfect.

I wired it and put it together himself. It’s not a trailer queen, but it’s an everyday driver. The car is fast enough, but there is always someone faster (just ask the newer Corvette I beat last year.)

The vehicle had to sacrifice luxury for horsepower — having standard steering and brakes makes me feel more in control. When I pick up my grandchildren from school in this beauty, my buddies get jealous, but my grandchildren beam.

We have made it a tradition to take pictures whenever I take my grandchildren on rides. Wherever we go, we make memories in this Nova!
