I bought my 1974 Nova from a gentleman in Chicago, Illinois. It was a basket case!

The wiring was all messed up. The lights, the brake lights, the turn signals — none of them worked! The car was leaking antifreeze out of the water pump. The radiator was clogged up so the car wasn’t getting any circulation. The brakes somewhat worked, but there was a lot of work to do!

Over the course of the last eight months, I can confidently say that it has been quite the winter project.

This 1974 Nova…was a basket case! The wiring was all messed up!

I had a lot of help! I leaned heavily on my father, Speedway Motors, GM Classics, the guys from Napa, and the local AdvanceAuto and AutoZone stores. I have put it somewhat back together. It’s now in running condition and is now safe to go on the road! A special thank you to my father for helping me with the wiring nightmare!

The grandkids loved the sound of the motor when we started the Nova up. The thing sounds awesome!
