I’ve always had a thing for the classics, and my ’75 Chevy Nova is no different.

I got my hands on it back in October 2006 from its first owner. Imagine, this beauty was just sitting there in Burin, Newfoundland, gathering dust since ’81, after making its way over from Ontario.

That winter was special.

My dad and I, we dove right in. The old 6-cylinder engine? We swapped it out for a roaring 350 Vortec small block crate motor. It wasn’t just an upgrade; it was like giving this classic a whole new heartbeat.

We decked it out with a hood scoop straight off a ’70s Corvette, gave it a fresh coat of paint, and added new headers. Now, it doesn’t just run; it roars with a kind of edge that turns heads.

I was born with cerebral palsy. I’m in a wheelchair, unable to walk or talk. But let me tell you, nothing – and I mean nothing – stops me from enjoying the thrill of a classic car.

I’m gearing up to take this Nova to the Southern Classics Antique Car Club in Marystown. I can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when I roll up. This ’75 Nova isn’t just a car to me; it’s a testament to never letting anything stand in the way of your passions.
