NOVA NOTE:
Many GM vehicles manufactured through 1967, as well as trucks built through 1972 did not have a fuse protecting the cigarette lighter feed. This wasn’t much of a concern when our classic cars were new and things like cell phones and 12 volt GPS units didn’t exist, but since many owners now rely on these devices (And their tendency to keep this circuit live for hours at a time when charging) the addition of a fuse could be great peace of mind.
The cigarette lighter fuse adapter includes a pre-assembled pigtail with factory connectors for both types of GM lighter sockets. Simply cut off the factory lighter connector, crimp on the supplied female terminal and plug into the adapter. Our adapter uses connectors and terminals that would have been available in 1967, so it makes for a “period correct” modification.
Includes 10 amp glass fuse and installation instructions.
